We are located in the beautiful mountain setting of Evergreen, Colorado, and are familiar with the unique drainage and grading challenges of developing property within the mountainous terrain. Floodplain Analysis
In addition to our traditional civil engineering services for land development, we at Mountain Design Group can offer our clients the specialized service of floodplain analysis. With a combination of 20 years of floodway analysis, we develop floodplain studies that are needed for floodplain permitting from the counties; we can generate LOMRs (etc) that can often eliminate the requirement for our clients to pay annual flood insurance, and in some cases, allow the buildable area within our client’s property to increase, thus increasing the overall value of the property.

Hydropower Solutions:
When Energy in flowing water is converted to electricity, it can be used to power off grid homes, pump well water, interface with cooling systems, heat water, complement existing solar and wind power systems, charge batteries and may be able to create the hydrogen for fuel cells and future fuel cell vehicles. We use our experience of floodplain and hydraulic analysis to design small hydropower systems that can support the overall energy needs of your property.
